The New Jersey Association of Counties would like to congratulate Chris Christie for having been elected to serve as New Jersey’s 55th Governor. We are especially pleased by his consistent focus on our most important goal, which is the promotion of shared services among the state’s counties and municipalities. NJAC stands ready to assist the Governor-elect on this and other reforms to improve local government services and reduce the state’s burdensome property taxes.

The Association would also like to congratulate the ladies and gentlemen who were elected last Tuesday to serve in the New Jersey General Assembly. We are proud to have worked productively with many of the returning members, and we are eager to extend that progress with members of the incoming class.

Finally, we would like to express our sincerest gratitude to Governor Jon Corzine, whom we have considered a partner from the very beginning on matters important to all of our members. He deserves special recognition for having embraced county government as a solution to our common challenges.

For your benefit, we have included a list of all county officials and Assembly members elected on Tuesday.
