MISSION STATEMENT 

NJAC is committed to advocating for legislation, regulations, and policy directives that empower county governments to operate more effectively and efficiently. As a non-partisan organization that represents the only true regional form of government in the State with a unified and proactive voice, NJAC is committed to advancing innovative programs and initiatives that enhance the level of service provided and save valuable taxpayer dollars.

ADVOCACY

Our extensive grassroots advocacy begins with an active Board of Directors and includes: developing comprehensive position statements; testifying at committee meetings, public hearings, and other venues; leading workshops and brainstorming sessions; managing the press and public relations; and, promoting cutting edge county endeavors.

RESEARCH

Our comprehensive research and analysis covers a wide range of substantive topics that includes: pension and health benefits reform; the costs associated with the county prosecutors’ offices; property tax cap levy restrictions; local aid allocations from the Transportation Trust Fund; and, much more.

MEMBERSHIP

We meet on a regular basis and provide timely updates through our “State House News,” an informative E-Newsletter, to our county administrators, finance officers, purchasing officials, road supervisors, jail wardens, adjusters, planners, and other important county officials and affiliate group members.

CONFERENCES

We host an outstanding celebration of county government in a revitalized Atlantic City each spring, where county officials from across the State may share ideas and earn valuable continuing education credits by participating in educational workshops and informative panel discussions. We also conduct a one day summit of county officials in December each year.
